Artwork
I spent a year or two working at a printers early in my career. When you’re responsible for creating your own artwork and developing the film, you make sure you get it right – especially when the boss keeps reminding you how much a roll of film costs! But there’s more to artworking that just an understanding of repro and print. I try to use software as it was intended. Applying common sense to how I create artwork means changes can be made globally and efficiently. A few minutes of setting up styles, master pages etc can save a lot of messing about later! Whether it’s large format exhibition graphics, vehicle wraps, intricate mailers or weighty product catalogues I always try to keep artwork precise, tidy and above all, correct.
